ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING, The planet Pluto entered its sixteen
year passage through Capricorn on Jan 25, 2008 (has not transited Capricorn
in 247 years). Capricorn rules the affairs of our government and Pluto is
an energy that calls our bluff. If one has been hiding secret
motives behind a deceptive mask, the game is over.
Individually and collectively, Pluto transits to important areas in our natal
birth charts or our country's chart evoke the shadow, facilitating
uncomfortable initiations into the unknown....the dark night of the
soul....the metaphorical underworld. When Pluto transited
Sagittarius over the last 12 years, we witnessed this initiatory process in
Sagittarius ruled areas such as fanatical religious
beliefs, international terrorism, and the exposure of corruption in the
Catholic church and so on. Pluto is the energy of massive change,
breakdown and reconstruction. Pluto transits expose deceit, corruption
and fraud on every level. A good analogy to imagine is lancing a
boil.....It hurts, but the poison must be removed. The outcome is
purification and healing though the initial process is downright
painful! We can already see this process percolating on the
national scene with "CHANGE" being the operative word in
the 2008 election campaign for President of the Mars, the archetypal god of
war, is once again in dynamic opposition to Pluto during the first two weeks
of March (exact Mar 6- 7). This is the third and final pass since Sep
21, 07. Mars-Pluto aligns action (Mars) with ruthlessness (Pluto),
anger with change, war with the underworld, warfare
with corruption and aggression with obsession. In contrast, there
is a more constructive way to channel and utilize this powerful combination
of energies. For example, Mars-Pluto also aligns action with survival
instincts, action with willful determination to succeed, action with deep and
powerful healing and desire with transformational change. Pay
attention to the world scene at this time and watch for these themes. The Mars-Pluto aspect occurs just
hours before the peak of the NEW MOON ON MARCH 7 AT 12:15 PM
(EST) AT 17 PISCES. This New Moon in soulful and
sensitive Pisces closely conjoins the great awakener planet called Uranus.
Pisces energy is imaginative, soft, merged,
intuitive, musical, ethereal, psychic, creative and artistic. Pisces
can also potentially succumb to illusions, addictions and
victimization if not allowed the soulful outlet it needs to be
fulfilled. Venus and Neptune are also
closely aligned at this time, further enhancing spiritual and
meditative pursuits of all kinds. In addition, Mercury, Chiron and the
North Node continue their alliance in humanitarian and progressive Aquarius,
promising intuitive and healing insights, connections and revelations
which move us beyond the personal ego into consideration for the greater
well being of others. If you have something to share which
will inspire, uplift, enlighten or heal another soul, this is the month
to experience a shift in consciousness! The Spring Equinox arrives at 1:49 AM
(EST) on Mar 20, when the Sun makes its yearly
ingress into initiatory and fiery Aries, a symbol of spring and
fertile new beginnings. A FULL MOON
FOLLOWS ON MAR 21 AT 2:41 PM (EDT) AT 1 LIBRA. This Full Moon forms a very tense cardinal grand cross
configuration which calls for and demands resolution between four different
aspects of our being. This is because there are four planets in
challenge aspect to each other, in four different areas, calling for
four different approaches! Positively, tension and stress facilitate
ambition. Ambition fired up from stress is the fuel for
our dreams and helps us fulfill our life purpose. During
this Full Moon in Libra, awareness of partnership and relationship
is illuminated for realizations and fulfillment of some
potential. The challenge of the polarity between Moon
in Libra versus Sun in Aries is pleasing the other versus autonomy of
oneself. Later in the month, from Mar 24-28, Mercury in Pisces collaborates
with Venus and Uranus in Pisces, powerfully aligning our thoughts and
perceptions with compassion, empathy and heightened intuition. In fact,
our intuition is extremely enhanced at this time. Allow intuition to be
your guide! As we close the end of the month with a Sun-Mars
challenge aspect, tempers may flare and impulsive actions may surprise, so
stay grounded and use this fiery combination not in combat, but in exercise
